Description: Liberton Tower has been painstakingly restored to a high modern standard whilst still achieving an ancient rustic feel of a 15th-century castle. Comprising of 2 floors and a cellar.

The vaulted ground floor contains the kitchen and bathroom, on the first floor is the ’The Great Hall’ - living/dining-room with oak beams, refectory table, tapestry wall hangings, open fire, underfloor heating and rugs on stone slab floor. while the upper floor has the two bedrooms with adjoining door, one with a double four-poster bed and the other bedroom contains 2 box beds, one additional pull-out, fully sprung, (suitable for child only) if required. Each of the rooms may be accessed by very steep staircases (one spiral) to the second floor.

In addition to the rooms, there is the parapet walkway, access to which is gained through the box bedroom. From the parapet, splendid views of Edinburgh are to be seen as well as Aurthurs Seat and the Salsbury Crags.
Further notes: * Shops 1 mile
* Half-acre grounds
* Unsuitable for toddlers/infirm
Area Description: Liberton Tower has the advantage of being very close to the centre of Edinburgh, the historic Capital of Scotland. As with all cities, Edinburgh has much to offer in pastime and leisure activities.

The new Museum of Scotland, regaling stories of Scotland’s colourful past, is certainly worth a visit, as is the Royal Yacht Britannia and the domed structure of Dynamic Earth, where visitors can experience a close encounter with the veritable forces of nature. Just across the Forth Bridge is Culross, one Scotland’s most picturesque settlements, with its whitewashed and yellow ochrewashed and red-tiled buildings. The many attractions include the NT Visitor Centre, Culross Palace and the remains of Culross Abbey. The Perthshire Highlands, Borders and Fife, offering good walking opportunities and numerous golf courses, are within driving distance. Many pubs and restaurants close by.
How to get there: Liberton Tower is easily found on the outskirts of Edinburgh city center. The Address of the Tower is:

Liberton Tower,
Liberton Road,
Liberton,
Edinburgh EH16 6NR
